"What If" and "Yeah But" Friday

I have to say I have been thinking a lot about the economy or what I know about it, where it's heading, and how it will effect us and our children and on down the road.

I've thought.....

*What if everyone would just stop wanting more and more stuff and were happy with what God has blessed them with?  Really it's not like we deserve any of it.

Yeah but we know that will never happen.  Everyone is always wanting something bigger and better then everyone else. Hints the housing market.

*What if we were still living in the time where everything looked the same, everyone dressed the same, and when you drove out of your neighborhood or down the road for that matter everyone waved and said hello?

Yeah but I think I would get a little board. If everything was always the same and if I was wearing an outfit and every other lady had on the same thing, I wouldn't be able to say "you look cute".  I need a little verity in my life.  About waving that would be nice, but I think this day in age there would be that someone that would take affiance to it.

*What if our economy wasn't going though this right now? What would the election be like and what would the candidates talk the most about?

Yeah but would I be as interested as I am to hear what they have to say and form my own opinion about who I am going to vote for.  I know the last election I might have seen a few min. of the debates here and there but not really enough to know what each one "said" they were going to do.  I have to say I am more interested this year.  Maybe because I am older and am effected more by the decision that are being made.

I am not much into all the politic stuff and honestly I don't understand a lot of it but am really trying to learn what I can. I do know that I serve a God that is all powerful and all knowing, what a peaceful feeling.  "What If" everyone just put there hope and faith in him? One of my friends had this quote on her Blog by Derek Webb - “In God we trust…for more than just the value of our dollar bills.”  I think that says it all.
