Telling Our Parents!

Dustin and I have been talking about traditions we would like to start with our family this year at Christmas and thought it would be fun to let the kids have a Christmas party for their grandparents. They can make their gifts for them and do an ornament swap.  This was our first year to have it so we couldn't think of a better time to tell them our exciting news.  So for Hadden's gift this year we made ornaments for them.  We got ribbon the colors of the Ethiopian flag and put them down in the ornament, Dustin drew the outline of Africa on them, and Hadden fingerprinted where Ethiopia is.   We had such a good time making them together. This is how they turned out! I love looking at it hanging on everyone's tree.  I am praying next year we will have him home to share Christmas with us.

This is a picture of everyone opening it! The pictures didn't turn out to well, I think because I was so excited I wasn't even thinking that I might need the flash.  Oh well at least I took a couple and I honestly couldn't even remember if I did that.

It was such a sweet time of all of us being together and sharing in the moment.  Dustin and I got to share with them a little bit of our hearts and how God is moving.  I loved it and will remember that night forever.
